The Forestry Management in the eastern part of the Bakony Mountains, north of Veszprém, operates wildlife management at the highest level. The hunting area extends over 17,000 hectares and is among the best-maintained areas in Hungary. The forestry is state-owned. Characteristic of the 70% forest-covered area are oak and sessile oak stands. Four out of the five big game species in Hungary can be found here: red deer, roe deer, mouflon, and wild boar. Hunting activities are primarily intended for guests to preserve tranquility in the hunting area.
