The hunting area of Szántód spans over 18,000 hectares and is located on the southern shore of Lake Balaton. The forests, which make up 48% of the land, agricultural fields which make up 50%, and game fields of approximately 160 hectares provide an excellent habitat for various wildlife species. The view of Lake Balaton peeking through the oak-covered hills characterizes the region. In addition to stalking, hunters also have access to three game enclosures. The hunting grounds are distinguished by outstanding wildlife management, thanks to large and old red deer stags, the most impressive with a trophy of 13.57 kg in 2015, a continuously improving quality of fallow deer population (4.23 kg in 2003), and mouflons (86 cm in 2003).
