Founded in 1997, the Bockerek Hunting Company has 28 members and its 8,000 hectares of 40% forested hunting grounds are located in the Bereg region, specifically the Szatmár-Bereg Plain, between the river Tisza and the Ukrainian border. Thanks to the excellent habitat conditions and high-quality professional management, the company is able to manage an outstanding quantity and quality of big game population. The Bockerek forest (which gave the hunting company its name) and the adjoining Csaroda forest, is the largest contiguous forested area in this region, spanning 1,350 hectares. There are also 200 additional hectares of scattered woodland areas.
