The Forestry Hunting Association of Baktalórántháza was founded in 1960 and is one of Eastern Hungary’s oldest hunting associations, and its structure has remained largely unchanged. The hunting area of this hunting cooperative covers 8,800 hectares. Thanks to the diversity of the terrain and various agricultural and forestry uses, this area offers habitats for both small and large game. Every year, a considerable number of trophy bucks are harvested. Approximately 4-5 mature deer with trophies weighing over 500 grams and 10-15 bucks with trophies weighing between 400 and 500 grams are harvested annually.
