The Gúth hunting area, covering an area of 13,300 hectares, extends 40 km northeast of Debrecen, near the towns of Nyírlugos and Nyíradony, as well as the villages of Nyírmártonfalva and Nyíracsád. The area is 67% forested, which is highly advantageous from the perspective of managing large game, in contrast to the typical image of the Great Hungarian Plain. Within this region lies the 5,175-hectare forest of Gúth, one of the largest continuous forests in the Great Hungarian Plain.
