The West-Zselic hunting area extends over 9,000 hectares in direct proximity to the East-Zselic hunting area. The forest coverage of the region is 63%. Its natural features are nearly identical to those on the eastern side. The core of the area consists of an almost contiguous forest area of 6,000 hectares. Here, one can find a unique blend of trees: linden, oak, and beech. The forest forms a cohesive unit, giving the impression of an untouched forest without paths. This forest provides an excellent habitat for large game. A game plot of 280 hectares and the hilly terrain give the landscape a mountainous atmosphere. In addition to impressive trophy stags (with a weight of 14.85 kg in 1989), exciting group hunts, as well as driven and still hunts, are available. Stags with trophies over 10 kg are harvested every year.
