WILD BOAR HUNT IN PILISSZENTKERESZT

This 9,800-hectare area is situated on the southern side of the Pilis Mountains. 64% of the area is covered with oaks, Turkey oaks, and sessile oaks. A notable historical event of the location is the tragedy of Queen Gertrúd in the year 1213, which became known through the famous Hungarian drama titled Bánk Bán by József Katona. The highest point of the region is the 756-meter-high Pilis ridge. Within the area, there is a 460- hectare game park featuring fallow deer, mouflons, and wild boars.
